Good afternoon, Coastians!
Quickly, our local weather for today will be seasonable. Expect afternoon high temps in the 90s and overnight lows in the mid-70s. Some locations will warm up more and that will be due to lack of rainfall or cloud cover. Speaking of rainfall, there’s about a 40% chance for showers and thunderstorms for the area through sundown this evening.
Now, on to Invest 99-L.
This system continues to lurk near the island of Hispanola and will being rain and breezy conditions to the Dominican Republic and Haiti. As of now, the forecast model data points to the system coming into the Florida strait late in the weekend and then into the Gulf of Mexico. However, as of this writing, there is no storm. Just keep that in mind.
This system is just pesky at this point. A much better grasp of the evolution of Invest 99-L may be possible tomorrow.
