The Gulf Coast continues to pour in the support for tornado ravaged Hattiesburg and Petal. Today, Boyd Gaming and IP Casino Resort and Spa donated $25,000 to the American Red Cross.
In addition to the monetary donation, IP Casino Resort spa team members also collected cleaning supplies, work gloves, insect repellent, sunscreen, bottled water and sports drinks.
IP team members filled a truck full with needed supplies for the American Red Cross to distribute to those in need. IP Casino General Manager Duncan Mackenzie said, “Our team members really love helping in the community and it causes a real sense of pride to work for the great company we do when we’re able to give cash and they’re able to contribute in their own way. It’s really a team effort and a community effort and it’s just very rewarding for all of us.”
The next time the American Red Cross takes a trip to Hattiesburg they are set to pick up the IP’s donations to take to the tornado victims.
