Employees of a Nissan plant in Mississippi are banding together and demanding their company to give them the right to unionize.

The rally took place in Canton, Mississippi on Saturday.

Workers, politicians, and community members marched and chanted for the their company to provide a union.

They believe the association will bring more job security, improve workplace safety practices, and increase wages.

Even former democratic Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders made an appearance to show his support.

“Unions work in providing increased wages and benefits.
Bennie Thompson made this point and it is a true point: If you are a member of a union in America, you are going to make 27 percent more on an average than a non-union worker.”
– Senator Bernie Sanders (I) Vermont

Actor Danny Glover was also one of the main speakers at the event.
