Hundreds of potential teachers on the job hunt could soon be employed within the Harrison County School District.
This afternoon from 3 to 7, the Harrison County School District hosted their first ever teacher job fair. The district is looking to fill over 30 certified and some non-certified positions for the upcoming school year.
Each school within the district set up a station to share information and answer questions to those who are in search of working in Harrison County. Teacher Kimberly Hughes said, “I heard about the job fair while I was at a faculty meeting in Hattiesburg, but I’ve talked to many teachers who teach down here while I’ve been coming down visiting and they seem to like it so I figured why not try it myself.”
Harrison County has 22 schools that serve more than 1,400 students.
