Investigation continues into Picayune shooting involving teenagers

PICAYUNE, Miss. (WXXV)- New details in the investigation into a shooting between two teenagers Monday at a Picayune apartment complex.

Picayune police say the 16-year-old victim has been released from the hospital, but has also been charged with aggravated assault in this case.

A 13-year-old who turned himself in late Monday is also facing aggravated assault charges and police have learned a third person also fired shots and has charges pending.

Both the 16- and 13-year-old are being held without bond.

Police are still actively investigating what led to the shooting and trying to find out how the teens obtained the guns.
