Good afternoon, Coastians!

Our predominant sensible weather over the next few days isn’t going to change a whole lot as high pressure is firmly ensconced over the southeastern states. That means little in the way of relief from the heat, whether it be showers or cloud cover. Therefore, expect afternoon Heat Index values to eclipse the 105-degree mark in some locations and higher still in others. The actual high temps should be around 90 closest to the beaches and about 95-97 inland.

And the Tropics.

First, let me say that it is WAY too far out to predict what Invest 99-L near the Lesser Antilles is going to do. Too far out to predict strength, movement, etc … so this weatherguy ain’t gonna do it.

That being said, we’ll keep a very close watch on the development of this system over the next few days.

In any case, get your Hurricane Plan ready and have your supplies ready, too. Don’t panic – I offer the SAME advice after the season ends until the next season begins.
