The Swingster building in downtown Ocean Springs is now a pile of debris along Government Street…
Crews demolished the building which has been vacant for about seven years.
The Swingster Company leased the county-owned building until the 1990s.
After being vacant for years it became a housing facility for volunteers after Hurricane Katrina.
Although the building had history in Ocean Springs, Jackson County voted in October to demolish it and officials hope to bring it back to life.
