Prom is a special time for high schoolers…but also opens the conversation of the dangers in drinking or distracted driving.
Journalism students at West Harrison High put on a realistic demo of a fatal car accident…killing four teens and injuring three in those vehicles.
Dozens of first responders from local fire departments, AMR, life flight, and the Harrison County coroner were involved in the mock scene.
Everyone involved wanted to show the students a real life scenario of what could happen if you make poor decisions especially with prom this weekend.

– Kylie Ehret Student
“Make better decisions when you’re with your friends or anything like…your life is valuable at this moment, at any moment, because this can happen to anyone.”
– Deniyah Downs Student
About 30 students were involved in this mock crash at West Harrison High School.
