Expect some beautiful, “spring-y” weather for the rest of the week, though our first front in a while will be moving in before the end of the weekend. Today’s afternoon high rose to 82, and it will keep slowly rising for at least one more day before decreasing as the front moves in. Basically, today’s gorgeous weather continues for Thursday, Friday, and most of Saturday with only slight increases in temperature and humidity.
Saturday afternoon is when we’ll begin seeing cloud cover and rain chances increasing as a front with strong cold air advection moves into the area. The clouds and rain will continue through the night and potentially into Sunday morning before beginning to clear. No severe weather is expected with this system right now, but Spring in South MS tends to provide storms with exactly what they need so this could change. We’ll see at least one cool day and night before temperatures begin to rebound.
