High-pressure along the E’Tern seaboard continues to dominate the region with a very strong moisture flow from the GOM. A cold front approaching to our west will stall west of Shreveport them begin to ride north of the state Friday.

As the atmosphere begins to destabilize along with the moisture flow, daytime heating will begin to trigger afternoon showers/t-storms Thursday-Saturday. A cold front will finally break into and through the region Sunday…bringing elevated rain potential along with the possibility for HEAVY RAIN as early as Sunday morning. Improving conditions will move in early next week.
