As the blocking pattern continues, high-pressure over SE Georgia will continue to bring an onshore flow saturating the atmosphere. A few morning showers will be possible along with an isolated afternoon t-storms.

As the high-pressure begins to move away from the region…a slow moving cold front will approach from the west, increasing activity for the weekend. Saturday afternoon into Saturday night will bring an elevated chance for t-storms along with the possibility for HEAVY RAIN Sunday as the frontal boundary begins to move through the area…which could lead to areas of FLASH FLOODING.

The front will be slow in moving through the area with rainfall expected to continue into early next week.
