After mostly cloudy skies overnight and though this morning…much of the coverage has cleared to our east with partly cloudy in the area. This afternoon with continued daytime heating, a few t-storms could pop-up.
The blocking pattern continues with high-pressure over SE Georgia and an onshore flow poised to move away from the region…as a slow moving cold front will approach from the west, increasing activity for the weekend. Saturday afternoon into Saturday night will bring an elevated chance for t-storms along with the possibility for HEAVY RAIN Sunday as the frontal boundary begins to move through the area…which could lead to areas of FLASH FLOODING.
The front will be slow in moving through the area with rainfall expected to continue into early next week.
