A company has asked the Mississippi Gaming Commission for permission to build a casino for the third time.
Mike Cavanaugh, who represents R&W Development, tells News 25 that the group has filed an application and requested that it be placed on the gaming commission agenda for a meeting on July 27th.
Details in the letter of intent reveal that the casino would contain approximately 45,000 square feet of gaming space, 1,300 slot machines, and 20 table games.
Applicants include Big Play Entertainment as well as Ray Wooldridge and his son, Brandon Wooldridge.
The commission previously denied site approval in 2008 regarding ownership of the required real estate. The commission denied the company for a second time March 16th. R&W Development appealed the latest decision.
