Here on the Gulf Coast we know the importance the water and natural environment plays in our everyday life.
The Society for Ecological Restoration southeast chapter is holding their annual symposium and meeting at USM’s Gulf Coast Research Lab facilities in Ocean Springs.
The local chapter has played a role in many restoration projects including here along the Coast, including the cleanup of the BP oil spill. Southeast Representative Constance Bersok said, “We want to get students involved. We want to have people who are just starting in their career and saying you know this is something I really want to do and that I can make a different with in my life. So, we are looking for the next generation coming forth and doing ecological restoration.”
The event is free for students and goes through Friday, October 20th.
