We’re in the midst of a slight warming trend over the next few days, but that doesn’t mean the nights won’t remain chilly. Tonight will linger in the mid-to-upper 40s in South MS, and patchy/light fog will begin to develop as the moisture continues to increase. it won’t be a major forecast issue for another day or so, but as another front moves Southward from the plains through the middle of the week we’ll continue to see our humidity and temperature inch upwards. This next front is expected by Thursday afternoon, and will bring at least a few showers, but no severe weather is expected. I’ve placed rain chances at about 40%, which will be the first significant rain we’ve seen in some time. After that system moves through, expect the temps to slowly cool and dry again as we begin the work week…just like we’ve begun the last 2.
