Nature based tourism businesses in South Mississippi now have a new way to get funding.
This is all thanks to Gulf Coast Outpost, a new program which recognizes businesses that are involved in the Coast’s natural environment and takes steps to protect it.
To kick off the program, a summit was held this afternoon to show business owners how they can receive funding.
Gulf Coast Heritage Area Director Rhonda Price said, “We are hoping that if we can get people to take part in the program we can offer them the resources, they can take part in the community grant, and maybe they can market themselves and their business.”
If you would like to sign up for the program, contact Gulf Coast Heritage Area at 228-523-4150.
