With the freezing temperatures in the area, the Salvation Army has opened their cold weather shelters for anyone who needs a warm place to sleep.
There are two locations. One in Pascagoula, which is open all year round, and one in Gulfport which is open through Sunday for the extreme weather. At each location, the Salvation Army is providing beds, cots, and hot meals for each person in need.
The Gulfport location is at 2019 22nd Street. Check in is at 4 p.m. Dinner is served at 6 p.m. and breakfast is served at Feed my Sheep. Transportation is provided.
The Pascagoula location is at 3217 Nathan Hale Avenue. Check in is at 4:30 p.m.
