Do you want to learn more about television broadcasting? News 25 is accepting applications for internships in our news , weather, and production departments. Internships are unpaid positions. College juniors and seniors must be able to receive college credit for the internship from their school.
News internship will be responsible for a variety of duties. They will be asked to answer the assignment desk phone, take viewer comments and story ideas, make phone calls, and set up interviews, as well as search for file tapes. As part of the internship, they will be offered the opportunity to go out on stories to observe a news crew as well as be given the opportunity to produce a resume tape. Advanced candidates could find themselves reporting and shooting stories. Depending on the intern’s education, background, and experience, they may be offered the opportunity to report. The goal will be to leave with at least three on-air worthy stories at the end of the internship.
