Visit Mississippi unveils float for 137th Rose Parade
Visit Mississippi has unveiled the float to be used in the Rose Parade in January. The theme for this parade is ‘Where Creativity Blooms.’
The float will have artistic icons and literacy legends from the Magnolia State. Tributes include Tennessee Williams, William Faulkner, Eudora Welty. You can even see Elvis in the book, wearing his Jailhouse Rock outfit.
Landmarks are highlighted as well such as Rowan Oak and the birthplace of Kermit the Frog.
The float will include live music from Charlie Worsham and performances from the USA International Competition.
Visuals are inspired by Coast artist Walter Anderson.
